Earlier today STChealth celebrated a monumental achievement – 1 Billion Immunization Events have now been processed through the STChealth Data Network!
The very first immunization events began to flow through the STChealth Data Network in 1995 when the state of Arizona contracted STChealth to build the first Immunization Information System. Decades later, STChealth is celebrating the flowing of hundreds of thousands of immunization events on a daily basis across the entire United States. This flow of data is critical to the health of American citizens throughout the country, as STChealth’s Vaccine IntelligenceTM enables vaccine providers and patients to identify gaps in a patient’s immunization record and close said gaps to prevent disease and promote health. Communities throughout the United States are made healthier thanks to the data flowing through the STChealth Data Network.
“It’s an incredible achievement to process such an enormous volume of immunization data in partnership with Public Health and the Healthcare industry. But more importantly, we at STChealth feel honored to be trusted by the public at large to facilitate important connections between patients and their healthcare providers,” said Mike Popovich, CEO of STChealth.
While it’s important to celebrate this achievement, STChealth recognizes that there is still much work to be done when it comes to the interoperability of data between healthcare organizations. Ensuring that every healthcare provider has the right data at the right time to make well informed decisions about patient care remains STChealth’s focus. Pursuing this vision for the future allows STChealth to dream big about the importance of Vaccine IntelligenceTM and what it means for preventing disease across the United States, and the world.
